It is considered
as the earliest capital of this ancient land. It was found by
the fourth king of Mewar- 'Nagaditya'. There are two temples
here of about 11th century : The 'Sas-Bahu Mandir' and the 'Adbhutji
Ka Mandir'.Both are very interactively carved and in fairly
unweathered condition. It is considered as the earliest

Very near to Nagda, is the
temple complex of Eklingji(Lord Shiva). The chief temple, made of
marble on a granite base, is guarded by a stone Nandi(the bull that
is the mount of Lord Shiva. The deity is a four-faced image of Lord
Shiva carved in black marble. The hoarse shriek of peacocks can be
heard every few minutes, there are several of them strutting about
atop the shrines

Gadisar
-Once the main source of water supply this arificial lake was
constructed by Maharawal Gaid Singh in 14th Century.Around the lake
are many shrines , temples and in winter season the lake is visited
by migratory birds.
The Hawa Mahal (palace of the winds)
is a component of the city palace and impresses by its cheerful
architecture. The 953 windows allowed the ladies of the court
to watch the activities on the street without being observed
themselves.
