Rose Gardens, blessed with nature’s bounty, consists of 2 acres of land covered with spices and agricultural crops like cardamom, vanilla and all varieties of fruit trees including lichi, rumbutan, strawberry and amla and an equally large variety of flowering plants that create a semblance of a mini-heaven in the wilderness. Distance from Cochin to Munnar 130 KM: Cochin(Ernakulam)-Vytila-Thrippunithura-Kolencherry-Muvattupuzha-Kothamangalam-Adimali-Munnar. This homestay, ideally located at 3500 ft above sea level, is easily accessible from the Munnar – Kochi National Highway(NH 49).It is situated just 10 km from Munnar, in the midst of cardamom plantations and is nestled in a perfectly calm and cool environment, surrounded by hills and dales, rivers and waterfalls.

Trekking

Munnar is a hill town of undulating mountains and tea gardens. Due to its mountainous terrain, it has been highly regarded as a trekking destination for travellers to South India. Most of Munnar’s higher reaches (7000’-8500') are forested and notified as reserve forests. The ecology here is of the grassland-shola type (high altitude mountainous forests). Such a terrain may be ecologically fragile but makes for great trekking trails.
