The
5 exclusive Tree houses are spread in a dense jungle
of 21 acres merging into the jungles of finest tiger
reserves of the world. It is not uncommon to spot
animals from the privacy of ones balconies which overlook
the tiger reserve and the Bandhavgarh Fort. Designed
in a fetching fusion of traditional jungle living
and contemporary design, the tree houses are self
contained and perfect getaway for a couple that is
fanatical about privacy.The bedrooms are furnished
with understated accessories in natural and earth
tones.
Specialy designed Suzuki jeeps accompanied by a trained
English speaking resident naturalist will ensure comfortable
and experienced interpretation of the park.

All tree houses have modern attached bathrooms with 24 hrs h/c water, living area, mini bar, split ACs with 100% power back up, mosquito netting, writing table & chair, and loungers in the balconies.
The Lodge also has Hides overlooking a water hole frequented by wild animals. |

Dining
hall is built around a large Mahua tree, in two levels.
The ground level serves as a cosy dining hall and
the terrace as a bar known as the WATERING HOLE. Dining
Hall offers Indian, Continental and barbeque meals
personalized to requirements of the guests.
All Tree houses have been made by local staff using
regularized wood. Local craft knowledge and expertise
has been used at all quarters to ensure that the Tree
Houses blend harmoniously with nature.

At
the Tree House Hideaway we have taken care to design
many activities and excursions which generally all
guests visiting Bandhavgarh miss out on. The Hideaway
in itself is geared up for many interesting options
and the trained naturalist team makes it all the more
interesting.
Morning and Evening Jeep safari is organized in the
Tiger reserve, all the vehicles are 4 x 4 Suzuki open
jeeps, fitted with comfortable bucket seats and fridges.
Inside the park you have the option of leaving the
jeep and getting on the elephant to take your chance
of getting close to the tiger.
Bandhavgarh Fort which forms the heart and the highest
point of the park is an alternate option to visit
for one of the days with a picnic lunch.
At the hideaway there is a small water body frequented
by many animals including the Tiger, a few quite hours
on the machaan may prove rewarding especially for
photographers.
Birding around the hideaway and near the farmlands
is an interesting option to see over 250 bird species
of this area.
Village visits, workshops with bamboo weavers and
excursions to Sanjay National park ( 2 hours) can
also be organized on request.

Bandhavgarh
This
is a small National Park; compact, yet teeming with
wildlife.. The density of the Tiger population at
Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India. Bandhavgarh
is also popular for Spotted Deer, Sambhar, Barking
Deer, wild boar, jackals and a large variety of birds.
This is also White Tiger country. These have been
found in the old state of Rewa for many years. The
last known was captured by Maharajah Martand Singh
in 1951. This White Tiger, Mohan, is now stuffed and
on display in the palace of the Maharajahs of Rewa.
Prior to becoming a National park, the forest around
Bandhavgarh had long been maintained as a Shikargah,
or game preserve, of the Maharajahs of Rewa.
Reaching There
By Road :
Bandhavgarh is located in the heart of central India
and is not relatively easy to reach, the road journey
towards the end is through beautiful forests, jungle
villages and stunning landscapes. The beauty of Bandhavgarh
combined with the call of the wild makes the journey
worthwhile especially when you are expecting an audience
with the King of the jungle.

There are daily flights to Khajuraho from Delhi by
Jet Airways, Indian Airlines and Kingfisher and from
Khajuraho it is a 5-6 hour road journey.
There are also daily flights to Jabalpur from Delhi,
Mumbai, Indore, Gwalior and Bhopal by Deccan airways,
Kingfisher and Indian Airlines, from Jabalpur it is
a 4 hour drive.
By Train :
Bandhavgarh is best connected by train, Umaria, Katni
and Jabalpur are convenient rail head and many trains
connect there from all parts of the country. We will
be happy to assist with ground transfers from railway
stations and airports.
