Accommodation
Manuallaya, the Resort Spa in the Himalayas. 55 rooms & suites across 8 distinct categories. Six acres of gardens, landscaped at different levels. And all of it in the bosom of the Himalayas. Each room is provided with a colour television (with satellite TV), refrigerator, direct dial telephone & individual room temperature control for year round comfort. All front facing rooms (Balcony-14, Deluxe-13, Duplex-10) have large private balconies providing a clear view of the snow clad mountains and river Beas. Imported laminated wooden flooring provides a rich and cozy feel. A new state of art elevator has been added for convenience of the guests.

Garden Rooms

Extremely beautiful rooms having modern interiors and luxurious bathrooms. Each room has a private landscaped garden with individual swing make it very special and exclusive. There are Seven (7) such rooms.

Balcony Rooms
The rooms have large glass windows and balconies providing a clear view of the entire valley. The woodwork in the room adds to the warmth while the black granite makes the bathroom luxurious. There are Fourteen (14) such rooms.

Deluxe Rooms
The rooms are spacious and ideally recommended for guests looking for extra space or traveling with children requiring an extra bed. Deluxe rooms compliment the resort with large carpet area. There are Thirteen (13) such rooms.


Duplex Rooms

As you step out of the elevator on the top most floor, you witness the creative waves completed in wood in the floor lobby and designer floor. The rooms have full size double beds both at the lower level and mezzanine level connected by a spiral staircase. Duplex rooms with their seating areas and balconies have been designed to accommodate a complete family. There are Fourteen (14) such rooms.

Deluxe Suites
Transcending time, these picturesque suites are all different in appearance. they offer a spacious living room, bedroom and dining room with private balconies and are well equipped with all the modern guest amenities. There are Seven (7) such rooms.

Royal Suites
The ultimate in luxury and style. It features a grand living room, a master bedroom with a separate children’s bedroom with a sun deck and a private balcony overlooking river Beas and the snow clad mountains. Opulent design exuding old world charm with a blend of modern amenities and gracious personalized service. The spacious drawing area leads to a large bedroom and bathroom on the lower level. The mezzanine level has a separate bedroom with a bathroom and a staircase leading to a glass attic which serves as a sun deck during the warmer climate. There are One (1) such rooms.

Sunny Side Cottage
One of its kind! An exclusive cottage with three (3) elegantly furnished bedrooms with attached bathrooms, children's room, living/dining room, fully equipped kitchen, large balcony and a courtyard is a home away from home. There are One (1) such rooms.

Cuisine
Welcome to the great cuisine. Tibetan Chinese, Continental, Local, North Frontier and Indian cuisine are served across 5 restaurants and bar at Manuallaya. Come eat of this divine land's geography and experience its taste, linger on for a lifetime.

Café Jardin
The English coffee shop. The largest cafe in the valley, 24x7 service. Breakfast, mini lunches and great get-togethers. Huge glass windows and spacious balcony can certainly elevate ones spirit with or without companion.

Library Bar
A bar to match the moods is set amidst two small waterfalls and a small water body. The minimilistic space, boasts subdued lighting, and modern bar counter along with abundance of books and gentle sound of water makes it a favorite place to spend hours and days with and/or without companion.

D' Jong
The only Tibetan Chinese specialty restaurant in the valley. Beautifully carved and hand painted walls, roof, windows and doors. With a Tibetan Monastery in the neighborhood. A Tibetan quintessence.
Serves: Chinese & Tibetan cuisine.

Bar-be-que
Our garden serves mouth-watering temptations. Guests are recommended to check what special is cooking up. A holiday is never complete without a lavish bar-be-que. The bonfire is like icing on the cake. Open in high season only.

Kibber
With North Frontier Cuisine, three tier seating and display kitchen, it has a fort like appearance. Lunch, Dine, Dance, Music. And time lazing by.

Conference Hall
The unique location and combination of hall with balcony and lawns can conveniently cater to as many as 350 guests for cocktail party.
The other spacious lawns (in different combinations) can accommodate 1500 guests.
We are comprehensive and flexible, the banquet hall: adjacent to a spacious garden comfortably accommodates 150 guests for a business conference while as many as 250 can be accommodated for cocktail party.

Traditional Dress of Men
Chola: Chola is a long woolen coat with pleats.
Dora: Dora is a piece of cloth which is tied on the waist and is served as a belt.
Suthan: Suthan is something like a tight pant.
Topa: Topa is a black cap.
Topi: It is now known as Kullu Cap. It is a colorful cap made out of woollen cloth with a Kulluvi designed band around it.
Lachhoo: Lachhoo is a blanket used to cover the shoulders.
Chadder: Chadder or Loi is a gents shawl. It is mostly in grey, white, cream and brown in color.

Traditional Dress of Women
Pattoo: It is a traditional dress of the local women. It is thicker and heavier than shawls, with fast and bright colors. Women wear pattoo over their clothes and pin both ends with local silver broaches called 'boomini', which is a long silver chain. It covers the whole body and a piece of cloth is tied around the waist called gachchi, which acts as a belt.
Dhatu or Thipu: Dhatu or Thipu is a square piece of cloth used to cover the head.
Shawls: These shawls are world famous because of their beautiful intricate designs and bright colors.
Pullas: Pullas are footwear like the bedroom slippers made out of hemp (fibre extracted from Marijuana stem). Very colorful designs are made on the upper portion with colored woolen threads.
Nepali porters, Buddhist monks, and even the odd party of Zanskaris, swathed in fusty woolen gonchas, muddled together with souvenir-hunting Indian and Western tourists-all add up to the welcoming hub of Manali

Festivals
Though almost all the festivals are celebrated with zest and devotion, Dussehra gets special attention all over the valley. The festival is celebrated in the month of October during the autumn season when the rest of the country celebrates Durga Puja and Vijaya Dashami. The celebration goes on for a few days when all the people of the Kullu valley take part enthusiastically.

The Hadimba Devi fair is another important event in this place and a rather big fair is organized in the Hadimba Devi temple complex. People from in and around the countryside come to visit this fair, which is held during the spring season when the valley is at its spectacular and colourful best.
The Doongri Forest festival, which is basically organized by the women folks of this place, is another major event of this place. Moreover, the winter sport carnival held in the mid-February draws a good number of tourists from all over the country and abroad.

Winter Carnival
Snow continues to play a major part in February's festivals and Himachal's Winter Carnival is also held this month. Ski slopes of Kufri, Manali and Narkanda come to life with adventure seekers competing their way downhill. For daredevils, Manali, as a base camp, offers best opportunity for Heli-Skiing.

Spring Festival
Spring festival is also called Basantotsava or Pipal jatra and takes place at Dhalpur ground Kullu from 28th April to 30th April. This fair has been declared a state festival by the Himachal Pradesh government. As it marks the beginning of the spring season (and also the tourist season) in the valley, it is also known as Spring Festival.
