Walking into Pangot is like stepping into a fairytale village. Tucked away within the Kumaon hills, with magical forests echoing the songs of hundreds of colourful birds and little trails that disappear into sunlit glades, that's Pangot for you. A birdwatcher's paradise, Pangot is 15 kms from Nainital and the drive is through the bird habitats of Cheena Peak range forests via Snow View Point and Kilbury.
Almost 2000 bird species have been recorded at Pangot and its surrounding areas. Life in Pangot is so quiet and unhurried that the most exciting activity is a trip to the small, quaint village market. The tea-stalls where villagers meet up is a good place to catch up with local life and spend hours doing nothing but being an observer of 'life passing by'.
 
330 kms northeast of New Delhi in the Kumaon Himalayas lies the Nainital Lake Valley (29° 22' 60N and 79° 27' 0E) and adjacent hill resorts. The Nainital area (1938m) lies in the central Himalayas and is a vantage point to view the great Nanda Devi massif. The Pangot area (1900m) lies 15 kilometers past Nainital and is on the road to Vinayak past Kilbury.
 
Mixed forests dominated by thick ban-oak, pine and rhododendron cover most of the area and surrounding hills. A large part of the landscape is characterized by dense vegetation. Numerous perennial creeks and streams crisscross the area.

District Nainital (Kumaon) covers the tropical, subtropical, temperate, sub alpine and alpine zones. The terai & bhabhar belt presents the climate of the plains while the deep valleys with elevation upto 1000 Mts. play host to flora and fauna typical of hills as well as plains. The middle Himalayan ranges to 2000 Mts and the sub alpine region upto 2500 Mts complete the eco-zones.
 
The Restaurant
We are proud to present the first of its kind organic restaurant that serves vegetarian food prepared from vegetables grown in our own green house and kitchen garden. We also serve authentic Kumaoni cuisine, along with continental and Indian food. All milk and milk products are prepared with fresh cow’s milk from our own dairy located in our extensive compound. Living at The Nest is truly an experience to cherish!

Pet Vacation- Terms and condition :

Guest is responsible for any and all damages to the premises caused by the pet, including, but not limited to: urine, chewing, scratching or destruction of property.

Guest must pick up pet poop after pet at all times in all locations.
Excessive barking is prohibited. If your pet has separation anxiety, do not leave him/her in the room alone. Guests found in violation of this regulation will be fined and/or be asked to leave, forfeiting any remaining rental nights.

Pets must be even-tempered, well behaved, sociable, and in good health. If your pet is anxious, aggressive, or likely to be highly stressed, it is probably in his best interest to make alternative plans.
We recommend that all dogs be leashed in any common area.

Please respect the Property Owner’s decision if pets are not allowed in particular areas of the property.

The safety and complete responsibility of your pet is yours. The owners of the property cannot be held responsible for the same.

Incase of any damage created on the property by your pet, you will have to pay for the damages immediately before checking out. The cost of the damage will be dealt on case-to-case basis and is at the complete discretion of the property owner.
Packages 2013 - 2014

2 Night 3 Days Package Rs.10000/- per couple per room + 15% Tax = Rs.11500/- per couple per room.

Packages Includes : Welcome drink on arrival. Accommodation on chosen sharing basis, Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner, Fruit platter in the cottage. Recreation facilities at the resort & Taxes.

No extra charge for children below 5 years (without extra bed). 6-12 yrs – 25% of the Package with extra bed. Above 12 years – 35% of the Package with extra bed.

Cancellation policy: Less than 15 days before the arrival date – no refund, Less than 20 days before the arrival date - 60% refund. Less than 25 days before the arrival date - 75% refund, No refund in case of road block, accident, no show etc.

50% of the total refundable amount (as per the above policy) will be released after cancellation and balance 50% will be adjust in to the future bookings only

Any delay or cancellation of hotel booking on account of cancellation of flights or any other transport arrangement due to bad weather or other natural cause will be liable for cancellation charges as mentioned above. Resort has right to revise / suspend any tariff/ Package offered at any point of time
