Palmgrove, as the name suggests, is set amidst lush green settings with majestic coconut trees swaying in the wind whichever way you look. Started in 1973, Palmgrove is a 100% vegetarian hotel  and housing 82 rooms and 9 cottages spread over two acres of land. Hotel is situated in the heart of the city Chennai close to the American Embassy, ideally 11 Kms from the Airport, 7 Kms from the Railway Station and 9 Kms from the Bus Station, The Palmgrove- For the joy of knowing that you are in extremely affable company.

Cottages - Coming to the cottages, there is certain uniqueness associated to them. Home away from home is what comes to mind immediately and home is where a person is most comfortable. Imagine that you have to make an important business presentation in the next one-hour. The surroundings and the ambience go a long way in removing the mind blocks that you may have developed.The cottages in Palmgrove have a positive effect on the mind. Comfort is the keyword here. The cottages have wall-to-wall carpeting and individually controlled A/C facilities

The rooms are old fashioned big, airy and have a touch of the Victorian elegance to them. When you enter the cottage, you see a combination room that acts as a sit-out and a dining room. An evening of total relaxation is what this room signifies. Next, you come to the living room where you can entertain visitors and hold center stage. A bedroom that is comfort personified follows the living room. Nice and cozy, you can curl up in bed with an interesting book and fall sound asleep in some time. The bedroom leads to a dressing room with an attached bath. To top it all, the cottages have independent car parks, which are totally secure and safe

Restaurants and Bars
	Menaka is a South Indian A/C restaurant (Madras/Andhra) having a seating capacity of 120 people and is located on the ground floor. Delicious South Indian cuisine can be relished here with gay abandon. Menaka also serves Mumbai delicacies as a special feature.

Urvashi is a North Indian A/C Restaurant having a seating capacity of 120 people and is located on the third floor. Mouth watering North Indian cuisine is the specialty of Urvashi and you can tickle your palettes with tasty Punjabi food.

Conference
	Palmgrove also has four air-conditioned banquet halls that are as pretty as a picture. Titled Vaishali, Indra Prastha, Indra Sabha and Mini Hall, these banquet halls serve the purpose of holding marriages, parties (birthdays and such), business conferences, product launches, press conferences, seminars and training programs.

Capacity of Banquet halls:

• Vaishali - 75 people
• Indra Prastha - 100 people
• Indra sabha - 15 people
• Mini Hall - 15 People

For larger gathering, they have:

• KJB, which is a non A/C semi outdoor hall that can hold 400 people and
• A lawn with Landscaping that can hold a strong crowd of 700 - 800 people.
