OSIAN: An ancient town in the desert and situated at a distance of twenty minutes from Bhikamkor Fort Osian was great trading center between the 8th and 12th centuries when it was dominated by the jains, Today it is desert oasis with 16 Brahamanical and jain temples, beautifully sculpted and designed, most of which have stood ravages of time, Apart from the jain temples, the other attraction is the Hindu temple of sachhiyay Mata which is built on a small hill and approached by climbing a flight of stairs interspaced with a series of sandstone gateways decorated with silver ornaments.
