Palace - Built since 1464 AD, Neemrana Fort-Palace
is India's oldest heritage resort. It is also Rajasthan's closest
palace from New Delhi, situated at 122 kms. on the Delhi-Jaipur
highway - only 100 kms from Delhi's international airport. Sited
on a majestic plateau, concealed in a horseshoe formation of
the billion year old Aravalli ranges, Neemrana became the third
capital of the descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III, who was
killed in battle by Mohammad Ghori in 1192 AD.
This
picturesque site was chosen by Raja Rajdeo and Neemrana derived
its name from a brave local chieftain Nimola Meo, who when defeated
by the Chauhans, pleaded that his name be given to his lost
kingdom.

Fort-Palace is not just a hotel. It is one of the most convenient
holiday destinations amidst all the places to visit near Delhi.
All efforts have been made to maintain the old charm of this
palace and care has been taken to ensure basic comforts that
have come to be associated with the changes in lifestyle since
1464. Neemrana offers a unique experience of seeing and ‘living’
history. Nothing about Neemrana is ordinary. On weekends, there
are cultural performances organised by the Neemrana Music Foundation
making Neemrana Fort-Palace an ideal location amongst the places
to visit near Delhi. Besides India’s leading dancers musicians,
foreign artistes have also performed for guests & delegates.
Neemrana is a unique destination as it is one of the only places
to visit near Delhi which offers a wide range of activities
such as camel cart rides, multimedia tours, vintage car rides
and a thrilling zipping tour!.
The
property covers 25 acres/10 hectares and the stepped palaces
of this architectural jewel cut sinto the hillside to sprawl
over 3 acres/1.2 hectares and rises to 10 levels commanding
the most splendid views. From 1986, the ruins of this Fort-Palace
have been sensitively restored and reconstructed. The rooms
are furnished with an eclectic mix of traditional Indian and
colonial furniture, antiques and object d'art. Most rooms have
private balconies or terraces and the loos are designed to have
views!

Weddings
& Celebrations Many elaborate, fairy-tale weddings have been
held at the different indoor and outdoor venues which Neemrana
offers. Glowing majestically, Neemrana also hosts anniversaries,
birthdays and other memorable occasions. Its amphitheatre can
seat over 200 people at many different levels, over 100 guests
can comfortably banquet indoors, just as its gardens can host
300 .
