Taj
Lands End overlooks the Arabian Sea at Lands End, the tip of
the historic Bandstand area of Bandra in Mumbai, India's premier

12 kms from the international and 8 kms from the domestic airport,

This
18-storey hotel, with a dramatic 3-storey marble atrium has
300 rooms and suites, each of which offers a panoramic sea view.
The décor is light and airy, a mix of pale pastels and dark
wood. Colour schemes are either based on peach or beige. The
rooms are beautifully appointed and particularly designed to
meet the needs of the business traveller. Large desks are hand-made
from the finest hardwoods. A standard feature in all rooms is
the five fixture marble bathroom, including a separate shower
cubicle

in-room amenities include DSL internet connectivity, multi-line
speaker phones with international direct dialing facility, data
ports for laptops, modems and fax; mini bar, personal safe;
colour television with satellite programmes; AM/FM clock radio.
24-hour room service and laundry service.
The
Atrium Lounge - This spacious and relaxing lounge is open
through the day for light breakfast and snacks, pastries, special
coffees, cocktails and nightcaps. Live instrumental music from
4 p.m. to midnight sets the mood, while guests relax and soak
in the ambience. High Tea is a speciality of The Atrium Lounge
and includes pastries and savouries along with a variety of
teas.
Lands
End Café- An upbeat, 24-hour café serving an eclectic mix
of local specialities and international favourites. Breakfast
and lunch buffet, in addition to the ala carte selection. Midnight
buffet served from 11p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (except Monday).
Passage
To India - Offers a culinary journey through the influences
of Indian cooking, both ancient and modern. The restaurant’s
open kitchen adds a theatrical touch and allows guests interact
with the chefs. Open for dinner from 7 p.m. to midnight, the
restaurant comes alive to the tune of live Indian music each
evening. Also open for lunch on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Ming
Yang - The split-level layout of this Chinese restaurant
allows diners to enjoy an uninterrupted view of the Arabian
Sea from anywhere in the room. The right-angled zigzag of the
back wall imitates a Chinese screen, as well as offers secluded
bays for semi-private dining. The emphasis is on the spicy cuisine
of the Schezwan province of China. Open for lunch from 12.30
p.m. to 3 p.m. and for dinner from 7.30 p.m. to midnight.
Embers
The Poolside Pub - Situated amidst the green lawns of the
hotel, "Embers" holds 'Fire' as its central theme. Embers is
different with an exotic outdoor setting and the picturesque
view of the bay. The ambience is distinctly South East Asian
as is the cuisine. Serves fresh oven-baked oysters, clams in
hot sauce, crab claws, phyllo wrapped veggies and exotic beverages
among other South East Asian delicacies. Open from 7:30 p.m.
to 12:30 a.m.
Churchill’s-
The ideal venue for a pre or post dinner drink. The décor, with
its wood panelling, smoked-glass and leather is modelled on
the lines of a traditional Englishman’s club. Cognac, cigars
and champagne are Churchill’s speciality. The Bar has an adjoining
Cigar Room offering a variety of cigars for the connoisseur.
Open from 12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight. The Happy
Hour is from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. with live music from 8 p.m.
onwards.

and fitness facilities, swimming pool and beauty salon offering
guests a complete spa service. The health club is divided into
two sections, with separate facilities for men and women. The
main pool is set within the landscaped gardens, and includes
a whirlpool and waterfall. The fitness areas are fitted with
a comprehensive range of the latest cardiovascular machines
and strength-training equipment. The spa also includes whirlpools,
steam rooms and sauna, massage and specialised treatment rooms.
The fitness facilities are open 24-hours a day and are available
only for hotel guests and select members. A round of golf can
be organised at a nearby golf club, on request.
Fully
equipped 24-hour Business Centre offering secretarial services
and facilities including word processing, photocopying, facsimile,
portable phones and pagers, lamination, full audio visual equipment,
reference library, work stations, private offices and meeting
rooms of various sizes.
Meeting
rooms & Banquet facilities- Over 55,000 sq. ft of banqueting
space comprising 7 banquet rooms, the poolside and 5 additional
meeting and conference rooms that can accommodate between 35-600
persons theatre-style, and between 30-3500 persons for cocktails
/ receptions. All public areas especially the lobby and banquet
areas have an abundance of space, with each banquet hall boasting
a large pre-function area that lends itself very well to buffet
set-ups, décor and allows for a free flow of people without
over-crowding the main function hall. All rooms have inbuilt
speakers and screens, Internet connection. Video conferencing
can be arranged on request.
