Lakshadweep
is a group of tiny coral islands which lie scattered in
the Arabian sea between 8-12 degree 30 North latitude and
71-74 degree E Longitude. Having a total population of about
sixty thousand the archipelago consists of 32 islands and
5 attached islets out of which only 10 are inhabited and
Agatti is the gateway to Lakshadweep having one in only
Airport in the hole of Lakshadweep. Agatti island beach
resort located in the silver sand beaches of Agatti islands
facing the vast struch of light green lagoon. Agatti island
is the most westerly fall in islands in the group. It is
situated at 10 degree 51 North and72 degree 11 East. It
is area in 2.7sq.km areawise it is fifth among the islands.
It is 459 km away from Kochi and 57 km away from head quarter
island Kavaratti.On the horizon to the North wards can be
seen coconut fronds of Bangaram, Tinnakara, Parali and Kalpitty.
The Agatti island offers a crystal clear lagoon as well
as coral reefs renowned for its unspoilt natural beauty
situated inside and uninhabited area of 3sq km and stratigically
located a stones throw away from the only Airport, Island.
The resort has been designed by the famous resort architect
Dr.Ravindran and fully contained and professionaly managed.
The lodging area consists of10 independent huts of 20 beds
built in wood and concrete and designed to facilitate natural
airconditioning.The roofing has been constructed out of
hollow bricks with the top covered with glazed tiles, in
order to aleviate heat. Every hut is fully furnished in
Europian style with attached bathrooms and fridge.The flooring
is alone with spartek tiles.Each hut accomodates two people
and faces the palm fringed western beach of Agatti island.
| SIGHTSEEING
There
are innumerous facilities for sightseeing and water
sports.Inside the same lagoon lies Kalpitty, a tranquil
tree covered uninhabited island which has been developed
into a beach. Fibre glass boats fitted with outboard
engines and also country canoes cruise to the near by
islands at regular intervals throughout the day.

beautifully constructed restaurant seats 20 and serves Indian,
Chinese, Continental and Lakshadweep cusine.A well equiped
communication & business centre takes care of contact
with the outside world. Excellent personal service is offered

There are specially formatted rules and regulations for the islands; we request you to adhere to these strictly, while you are at Lakshadweep.
Reservation will be confirmed only on full pre payment.
All tourists to Lakshadweep needs to carry ENTRY PERMIT ; to obtain the same provide name, age & address at the time of booking. Foreigners have to submit copy of passport.
All water sports & sightseeing will depend on climatic conditions & booking will be taken accordingly at Agatti. During off season sightseeing to 4 islands by boat & water sports will not be possible. Only Inland Sightseeing is possible during off season; will be extra payable.
The Resort will not be responsible for any changes in flight/ships schedule, as flight is operated by Indian Airline, & ship by Lakshadweep Administration.
Special concessions will be given for student group not less than 15.
Well equipped Scuba Diving Center which is capable of giving PADI certification is running at Agatti.
