The main Kasauli is divided into portions, Upper Mall & Lower Mall areas. These are ideal for long walks. A lot of people just go up to Kasauli from nearby cities, as Chandigarh , for this long walk and fresh Pine & Oak Wood brushed air, which is quite medicinal in nature, especially for people with respiratory problems. This is one of the reason, why the TB Sanatorium was built by the British, here in Kasauli.

Climate

In winter, temperature can lower just above freezing point when heavy woolens are required. During summer, the climate is mild and light woolens or cottons are recommended.
