Train
The British built one of the most famous railroad systems in the world during their stay in Shimla – The Himalayan Railroad Network. The train journey from Kalka to Shimla is considered to be one of the most beautiful and scenic train journeys in the world. The nearest airport is at Jubbarhati, about 23 km from Shimla. The other option available is the airport at Chandigarh, which is about 150 km from Chail. Indian, Air Deccan and Jagson Airlines operate flights to Shimla from Delhi, though the frequency of these flights varies.

The nearest International airport is at New Delhi, about 330 km from Chail. New Delhi is well connected by flights from almost all countries across the world.
