It is so easy to reach Shimla. Various trains are connected to Kalka, lying at foot of Shivalik hills. From Kalka, take a cab or bus for an uphill 90km. drive to Shimla or take the toy train's 6-hour journey to Shimla. Day and night buses also ply from all major cities to Shimla.
