Barog Camp
Barog, Himachal Pradesh.
Set in the mountains Barog is just 60km from Chandigarh on the Kalka-Shimla highway. Overlooking the picturesque Solan valley the site is covered with beautiful pine trees. Barog is approachable by road as well as by train.

At a good height of 6000 ft. the place is comfortable in summers as well as in winters.
The Himachal Tourism Resort- Pinewood, Hotel Barog heights, Hotel Corrins, the local dhabas all serve a variety of different cuisine’s.

It’s just 500mt’s walk to the Barog market from our Camping Grounds. STD/ISD facility is available.
The scenery boasts of a curving railway track down below in the valley with the distant whistle of the seemingly toy train.

Kilometres of road winding through distant mountains on one side compare beautifully with the untouched mountains on the other side.

Barog is the one and only hill station in India with a registrered camping site which allows tourists to pitch up their own tents. You can enjoy Nature with all the basic amenities at our camping site.

At night the Solan lights in the valley look like stars that have come down and an extension of the Milky Way above in the sky. Bon fire, music and dancing under the stars can all be arranged

An exclusive pine clad area just 500 mts from the main market; approachable by car with fantastic view of Solan valley and Choor Chandni hill range in the Himalyas.

We have developed the site on the lines of European camping sites where tourists could have a memorable stay with all basic amenities provided.

The camping site presently has limited number of tents with electricity, floor carpets, proper beds with foam mattresses, a cupboard & other camping furniture.

The site has a modern bathroom complex with hot water facility. A dance floor and music is available for the party enthusiasts.Catering is undertaken centrally.

 
 
Open-air discotheque, bon fire, Tambola on Sundays, nature trail treks & party games are arranged on request. We keep a variety of games at our camping site.Tourists can play a quiet game of chess or cards. Kids often play ring the pegs or enjoy swinging in the Hammocks. There are others who just sit back & enjoy looking through the Binoculars.We try to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable.

during day & fabulous solan lights at night across the valley send the visitors rejuvenated. Our 'Hill Tents'/Coleman 2/4 man tents are cozy and comfortable that provide you lifelong memorable
experience of camping in natural surroundings.

The Britisher's summer retreat has Old Chalets, Shopping Centres like- The Mall, Ridge and a wide variety of Hotels.

KUFRI: 66 kms Snow clad mountains in winters and a winter carnival in Feb- March. A lovely picnic spot in summer or winter.

NALDERA: 70 kms A golfer’s paradise with a 9-hole golf course is lovely for a weekend.

KASAULI: 21 kms Manki Point-a historical Hanuman temple, A pleasant Tibetan market, A sanitorium on naturepathy and pine clad hills make it a favourite picnic spot.

CHAIL: 54 kms The summer capital of the royal house of Patiala. The Chail Palace, The highest cricketing pitch are the major attractions. There is horse riding for the sportsman spirit and beginners.
